Buggyrobot Gallery
The self confessed “urban picker” collects from kerb sides, car boots, markets, scrap yards, antique shops, auction houses and has stock piled a collection of components to make any magpie jealous.
Most of his quirky sculptures contain original pieces from the 50s and 60s and he finds it important for people to recognise the individual components that make up each one.

Allan Jonassen Artist
Allan has an eclectic range of skills, which come to the fore in his many artistic interests. Watercolour has become his predominant go to artistic expression.
Allan served his apprenticeship as a Signwriter and Billboard Artist with the now national and historically significant “Railway Studios”, a place renown for it’s no nonsense attitude to creating outstanding Tradesmen and high-class Pictorial Advertising. This reflects in Allan’s work being described as clinically accurate and precise, a point of difference seen in his Artwork.
Allan has shown his work in many exhibitions throughout NZ and undertaken commission work both here and overseas. Recently he donated some of his work to support a worthy charity for their fund raising Art Auction Event.
Currently, Allan is experimenting with Watercolour pigment granulation.

devi-art by Sharon Murcott
I try to capture everyday moments in my water colours, sometimes the most brilliant part of the paintings are the unplanned parts or parts that almost paint themselves. I strive to get a sense of atmosphere and excitement no matter what the subject. I absolutely love to paint and hope that shows in my paintings.

Penny Anderson
I am a self taught artist and creator. Having only very recently picked up the brush I have been developing my own style. I initially started my creative world with photography and graphics, however more recently, I have moved into painting. My passion is taking what is seen by the eye, capturing the beauty and moment and portraying this in my own vision. Painting is mainly with acrylics but I have also dabbled in oil.

Jude Ansbacher
I have recently moved to Kakanui from Dunedin and am enjoying new subject matter. When something moves me in my surroundings, I wish to ‘draw’ it out with paint. I regularly paint ‘en plein air ‘, and tackle larger works in the studio, working from sketches. I like the texture and richness of oil paint, but also use watercolour and gouache when transparency and fluidity is more suitable. I have a Fine Arts degree from Middlesex University, London, and have drawn and painted all my life.

Pottery on Tyne
In 1970, a collective of talented potters from Oamaru joined forces and
established themselves as the North Otago Potters. They later relocated to a
charming cottage at 44 Tyne Street, where they rebranded as Ceramic 44,
now known as Pottery on Tyne.
Visitors to our studio have the opportunity to witness our skilled members crafting a diverse range of ceramic pieces. Our techniques include wheel-thrown forms, hand-building, slip casting and the art of printing images on to clay.
Additionally, Pottery on Tyne boasts its own intimate gallery, providing a delightful space for you to admire our creations.
